Secretary of Planning for the Ministry of Government of Argentina Guillermo López Mirau was present in the USA elections as an electoral observer in different voting centers of Fairfax, Virginia.

In a similar way to how it’s done in Venezuela and Brazil, in the US centers where electronic voting systems were used, machines stored the information corresponding to every vote and the counting procedure was done automatically by a computer algorithm. The whole voting process is carried out in a single open place with voting machines placed adjacent to one another.

“The electronic voting system of Virginia allows its users to vote in a simple and agile way and get the results simultaneously,” said López Mirau after assessing the different voting centers. “At the same time, the control mechanisms exercised by citizens and political parties guarantee transparency during the whole electoral process, leaving out any possible risk of manipulation.”
