The Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE), the highest electoral authority in the South American country, along with representatives of the political parties will conduct yet another audit to the voting platform to be used during the presidential elections on October 7th.

Auditors will test 0.5% of all voting machines for each state. During this process, which is known as production of voting machines, it will be installed the software that will make the machines operational on Election Day.

This audit guarantees that the application and data that was previously certified by the political parties in earlier audits will be the exact same ones used in the production of machines.
