According to estimates from the National Office of Electoral Processes in Peru (ONPE), around a million Lima residents will use electronic voting in the complementary elections that will take place in November to choose the council members of the municipality of Lima.
Using e-voting in these elections will be a “trial by fire” to demonstrate the reliability of this system more thoroughly.
