On February 2, Costa Ricans chose their president and representatives. At the same time, around 4,000 Costa Ricans participated in an electronic voting simulation carried out by the country’s Supreme Election Committee.

Authorities stated that the electronic voting simulation did not have an effect on the results of the official voting process, and took place at Aserrí High School, Joaquín García Monge School in Desamparados, Juan Veintitrés School in San Antonio de Escazú and the Granadilla Professional Technical College.
