The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has asked president Goodluck Jonathan to direct the Independent National Electoral Committee (INEC) and work together with Nigeria Communication Satellite Limited and the body of engineers to look into the introduction of e-voting in the 2015 general elections.
Engineer Olorunfemi reported that the society of engineering has already developed an electronic voting system that was successfully used to elect the body’s directors in 2013.
The new president is considering a plan to encourage the use of the e-voting system designed by Nigerian engineers in the next general elections.
