In February 2014, the Ecuadoran provinces of Azuay and Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas will introduce e-voting in local elections. For this reason, the country’s National Election Council has ramped up training on the voting platform, which will be subjected to five auditing tests to check its efficiency and security.
According to Ecuador’s National Election Council, 3,000 machines will arrive in the country some time during the last week of November and the first week of December.
