The Institute of Technology of the University of Copenhagen, in cooperation with the Technological University of Darmstadt, the Tallinn University of Technology and the Society for Informatics and E-Voting CC, will host a PhD seminar on October 8-9, 2015, in Copenhagen.

The aim of this event is to exchange and discuss current research of PhD students, regarding governance, organization and technical setup of electronic voting.

This seminar continues the tradition of e-voting workshops that have been taking place in Austria, Estonia, Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland since 2006. This year, for the first time in its history, it will be hosted in Denmark.

E-voting PhD seminars have focused on various aspects including technical features, identity management as well as vote verifiability among others. To this end, the program allows plenty of space for discussion and initiating collaboration based on speaker presentations.

The target audience is:

PhD students in the field of e-voting including computer scientists, mathematicians, logicians, legal experts, public administration, political science, social scientists, cryptographers, anthropologists, etc.

Master students in e-voting and related areas are also invited and proposals for presentations will be considered.

Academics and professionals with an interest in the topic of e-voting and who are willing to assist the participating PhD students with their research are also welcome.

Participants should submit their research proposal or alternatively ideas for papers, open problems, or other issues where feedback from colleagues would be helpful etc.

The deadline for application is August 28, 2015. Notification of acceptance will be given by September 7, 2015
