On September 10, Australia’s communications minister, Malcolm Turnbull, spoke with Australian news channel, ABC 24.

He indicated that one of the new government’s priorities should be the quick adoption of technology to make the government more effective, better serve the people, and stimulate the economy. In his opinion, the increase in informal voting suggests that now is the right time to switch to an electronic in-person voting system.
