Universities around the world employ electronic voting for its ease of use and reliability.

Students from the Central University of Ecuador recently voted for their student representative in the Assembly of the Higher Education System via the Internet.

All students had to do was to log in to a college email account and enter their unique student card number to identify themselves. Once in the system, they were instructed to change their password before following a few simple instructions to cast their vote for the candidate of their choice.
