Eligijus Masiulis, leader of Lithuania’s Liberal Movement, recently proposed the adoption of online voting in order to boost turnout and enfranchise expatriates. The Liberal Movement is currently the fourth biggest party in Lithuania’s parliament.

To support Masiulis’s point, the party voted for the leader´s proposal using an electronic voting platform.

Along with this policy that will expand democracy in Lithuania, Masiulis also proposed to alleviate taxes to Lithuanian workers and suggested the need to reform public services, increasing the role of the private sector.
