The Mexican Citizen Participation Commission of the Electoral Institute of the Federal District (IEDF) informed that 15,581 valid votes were registered for the approval of the 2013 Participatory Budget.
The General Counsel of IEDF, Néstor Vargas Solano deemed as successful this unprecedented exercise of Internet Voting, even when participation level was equivalent to 0.22% of the more than seven million citizens registered in the nominal list.
Once the results of the Internet voting and the traditional receiving polls are gathered, the institute will be able to reveal which projects resulted winners for each colony of the Federal District.
