“Plan 100% electronic vote” is the name of the official electronic voting system as it was presented by the provincial governor, Juan Manuel Urtubey, for the 2013 elections.

Although initial plans contemplated the adoption of electronic voting by 2015, the system will be used in the entire province next year, for the provincial and local elections. The results obtained during previous elections in which the voting platform was tested confirmed that Salta is ready to move to the next level.

An important training campaign will have to be carried out so this new technology can be used. More than 5.000 people will be trained to organize the event across the province.

Significant resources will be invested to condition 450 educational centers to transform them into top notch electoral precincts.

A very bright future awaits Salta’s and Argentina’s politics.
