Nowadays, these two countries have taken the lead in the automated voting race in all its phases: from voter authentication and registration, to voting, counting and broadcasting of the results. Multiple electoral processes and audits avail their voting platforms.

According to the Latin America e-Voting Observatory, most countries in the region are still using manual voting, but many are already carrying out the first tests and feasibility studies to implement the automated system, since it has shown its transparency, efficiency, speed and reliability.
